Critical lumpy black holes in AdSp×Sq

چکیده
In this paper we study lumpy black holes with AdS${}_p \times S^q$ asymptotics, where the isometry group coming from sphere factor is broken down to SO($q$). Depending on values of $p$ and $q$, these are solutions a certain Supergravity theory particular gauge field. We have considered $(p,q) = (5,5)$ (4,7)$, corresponding type IIB supergravity in ten dimensions eleven-dimensional respectively. These theories presumably contain an infinite spectrum families holes, labeled by harmonic number $\ell$, whose endpoints solution space merge another different horizon topology. numerically constructed first four solutions, $\ell 1, 2^+, 2^-$ $3$. show that geometry near merger well-described cone over triple product spheres, thus extending Kol's local model present asymptotics. Interestingly, presence non-trivial fluxes internal implies no longer Ricci flat. This conical manifold accounts for behavior physical quantities sufficiently close critical point. Additionally, vacuum expectation dual scalar operators approach their power law exponents dictated bulk.

Black Hole Critical Phenomena Without Black Holes
Studying the threshold of black hole formation via numerical evolution has led to the discovery of fascinating nonlinear phenomena. Power-law mass scaling, aspects of universality, and self-similarity have now been found for a large variety of models. However, questions remain. Here I briefly review critical phenomena, discuss some recent results, and describe a model which demonstrates similar...
متن کاملCritical behavior of dimensionally continued black holes.
The critical behavior of black holes in even and odd dimensional spacetimes is studied based on Bañados-Teitelboim-Zanelli (BTZ) dimensionally continued black holes. In even dimensions it is found that asymptotically flat and anti de-Sitter Reissner-Nordström black holes present up to two second order phase transitions. The case of asymptotically anti-de-Sitter Schwarzschild black holes present...
متن کاملCritical behavior for the dilaton black holes
We study the critical behavior in the black p-branes and four dimensional charged dilaton black holes. We calculate the thermodynamic fluctuations in the various (microcanonical, canonical, and grandcanonical) ensembles. It is found that the extremal limit of some black configurations has a critical point and a phase transition takes place from the extremal to nonextremal black configurations. ...
متن کاملBlack Holes and Critical Points in Moduli Space
We study the stabilization of scalars near a supersymmetric black hole horizon using the equation of motion of a particle moving in a potential and background metric. When the relevant 4-dimensional theory is described by special geometry, the generic properties of the critical points of this potential can be studied. We find that the extremal value of the central charge provides the minimal va...
متن کاملDirty Black Holes and Hairy Black Holes.
An approach based on considerations of the non-classical energy momentum tensor outside the event horizon of a black hole provides additional physical insight into the nature of discrete quantum hair on black holes and its effect on black hole temperature. Our analysis both extends previous work based on the Euclidean action techniques, and corrects an omission in that work. We also raise sever...
